Community Outreach
The Hood Church is active in the community by meeting the needs of Lynchburg citizens. Some of our community outreach activities over the last five years of ministry are we have created care packages for students at Virginia University of Lynchburg, we supported the Parkview Mission for the food insecure, bought school clothes, shoes and supplies for school children, paid for caps and gowns for high school students at EC Glass to allow them to participate in their graduation and threw a Spring Evangelism & Outreach event for kids called the 12th Street Stomp with speakers, gospel rap performers and a step show to name a few. We continue our support of helping those who help themselves in this great city!
Missions
The church has supported two missionaries over the last two years to take the gospel of the kingdom around the world. We also sow into multiple ministries that we may have some seed in other fields.
UPCOMING EVENTS
The Hood Church Inc. is currently preparing to build a new Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. Over the next several months we will be hosting several fundraising activities. We would appreciate your support as we endeavor to do the will of God for the youth of Lynchburg, Virginia
